Fix (not set) Values
In Google Analytics (GA4), (not set) values refer to any information that could not be retrieved. This can happen for a variety of reasons, such as a browser or extension preventing the information from being read, the use of a VPN making the location irrelevant, or simply a poor configuration of your website. It’s perfectly normal to have some (not set) values in your analytics. However, you can take certain actions to reduce their number:
- Check that Google Analytics is loaded on every page of your website.
- If you’re using UTM codes, check that the URL is correct, i.e. that the source, medium and campaign parameters are present.
- If (not set) values appear at very recent dates, such as yesterday, come back later. Google Analytics may take a few days to fully process traffic data.
